With a little bit of luck Jake took second at the PBG race at Citrus County Speedway. Dealing with engines problems all day it looked as if Jake might not even race. However the engine problems were solved and the rains stayed away. On Saturday June 28th Jake will be racing at Orlando Speedworld.

Jake spending most of his seat time in the Bandolero Cars, came back to karting for the Margaretsville WKA race.

Qualifying up front, Jake worked his way into second place where he and the race leader exchanged leading the race for several laps.

Once the two leaders got into lap traffic, they continued the duel right up to the last lap. Jake pulled off the win, with an exciting finish!

On Saturday November 10 Jake participated in the plate class races at the World 100. Jake qualified and ran in the purple and both blue plate races. Jake qualified on the pole in the purple plate race and lead the entire race. In the blue plate races Jake qualified first and second. In the first race Jake had trouble keeping the kart down off the turns and was unable to hold his second place start. He finished the race in fifth place. In the second race however it was all diferent. Jake,starting on the pole opened up almost a half a track lead over second place kart driven by Georgia champion Blake Moseley before the caution came out with six laps to go. The announcer had informed the crowd in attendance that Jake's lead was so large that he was in a different zip code than the rest of the field. At the restart Jake got off to a comfortable lead and was able to maintain it and take the checkered flag in first place. Competition over the weekend was fierce with drivers coming from as far a Louisiana. Up next for Jake is the "Junior Big Dog" race in Carnesville, Georgia to be held at the Georgia Karting Complex on the weekend of November 24.

Jake won both blue plate races at Crossroads Motorplex on Saturday September 29, 2007. With these wins Jake wins both blue plate (Junior Sportsman II) championships. This brings Jake's total to 6 champioships this season. It has been a great year and we have truly been blessed. Prior to this weekend we were fortunate to have Tim Mizner of Keller Williams Realty come on board as one of our key sponsors. During the month of October Jake will be racing the bandolero as well as getting prepared for the World 100 karting event to be held in November. Jake brought home a 1st and 3rd place finish from Dexter, Georgia this past weekend at the year end finale of the WKA Briggs and Stratton Speedway Dirt Series. In the sportsman I lite race Jake qualified in the third spot and was battling for the lead with Houston Smith when bad luck hit during a caution. Jake's engine stalled and he was sent to the back. With 12 laps to go Jake was able to work his way up to 3rd from the 20th position, finishing only 3 tenths of a second off the winner. In the Sportsman I heavy race Jake qualified for the pole with a time of 14.291. The race was very exciting with Jake and Houston Smith again doing battle weaving in and out of lap traffic. With two laps to go a caution came out and bunched the field back together. Going back to the last completed lap would leave Jake in 1st with Houston on his bumper. For three laps Jake was able to hold off the challenge and cross the finish line for the win. With these two finishes Jake completed the Briggs and Stratton Speedway Dirt Series season with two national championships. It has been a fantastic year and Jake would like to thank all of his sponsors, the WKA for a great series, and all the drivers with which he competed.

Jake finished second in both FKA Jr. Sportsman II races on September 1. The final race for the FKA title will be on September 29 at Crossroads Motorplex in Jasper, Florida.Jake will be racing in the Georgia Karting Assoiation's event at Dexter, Georgia on the weekend of September 8. This will be a tune up for the Jimmy Rivers Performance Works Nationals to be held at the same track on the following weekend of September 15.Thanks again to all our sponsors and supporters. Jake and his crew struggled in Tennessee at the WKA Nationals. He finished 7th in Jr. Sportsman I Lite and 4th in Jr. Sportsman I Heavy. The track was awesome and it was a safe trip and even though we did not have the finishes we had hoped for Jake currently has the points lead in both classes in the WKA Briggs and Stratton Speedway Dirt Series. Our next national race will be in Dexter, GA at the Jimmy Rivers Performance Works Nationals on September 14-16, 2007.
